DTERM (Multi-Line) Telephone Instructions
 

FUNCTION KEY ACTIVITIES

Feature + 1  Turns microphone on or off
Feature + 2 Adjusts handset receiver or speaker volume (volume is adjusted for the one call only and will then revert to the original volume default)
Feature + 3  Selects ringer tone (four different tones are available)
Feature + 4 Adjusts transmission/receiving volume (this will set volume in handset and speaker as 
adjusted with Feature + 2 as your default)

PLACE AN OUTSIDE CALL

Local 
  • Dial 9 (Trunk Access)
  • Dial desired telephone number
Long Distance
  • Dial the long distance number, always beginning with 9 to reach an outside line (example: 9+1+(555) 555-5555)
  • You will hear a stutter tone
  • Enter your 6 digit Personal Identification Code (PIN)
  • Your long distance call will be connected

ANSWERING A CALL HANDS-FREE

Receive incoming call, Respond to call hands-free--Press MIC Soft button

TRANSFER A CALL

  • With call in progress, press Transfer button
  • Dial extension (you may wait to speak to party you are transferring call to)
  • Hang up when transfer is connected

CALLER   PICKUP   GROUP

  • This is used to answer any ringing phone in your group:
  • Lift handset
  • Press Pick Soft Key (or *7)
  • Connection to calling party is established

LAST  NUMBER  REDIAL

  • Press Redial button, last number dial is displayed
  • Press Redial button until desired number is displayed (up to 5 previously dialed numbers)
  • Press *.  The number on the display is automatically dialed.
  • When part answers, lift handset or press Speaker button to speak hands-free

CALL FORWARDING – ALL CALLS

  • Lift handset or press Speaker button,  receive dial tone.
  • Press Forward All button (or # 2)
  • Dial extension to receive forwarded calls
  • FWD LED lights for your extension.
  • Replace handset or press Speaker button.

TO CANCEL CALL FORWARD – ALL CALLS

  • Lift handset or press Speaker button
  • Press Forward All button (or * 2)
  • Forwarding is canceled
CALL FORWARDING – NO ANSWER
  • Lift handset or press Speaker button
  • Press FDN soft key (or # 4)
  • Dial extension to receive forwarded calls
  • FDN LED lights for your extension
  • Replace handset or press Speaker button.

CANCEL CALL FORWARDING – NO ANSWER

  • Lift handset or press Speaker button
  • Press FDN soft key (or * 4)
  • Replace handset or press Speaker button.

CALL FORWARDING – BUSY

  • Lift handset or press Speaker button
  • Press FDB soft key (or # 8)
  • Dial extension to receive forwarded calls
  • FDB LED lights for your extension
  • Replace handset or press Speaker button.

CANCEL CALL FORWARDING – BUSY

  • Lift handset or press Speaker button
  • Press FDB soft key (or * 8)
  • Replace handset or press Speaker button.

CONFERENCE CALL

  • With first call in progress, press Transfer button.
  • Dial desired number (extension, external or long distance number – if external or long distance, 9 must be dialed to access an outside line).
  • After call is answered, press the Conf button (CONF LED lights).
  • Three-way conference is established.

RECALL

  • Press Recall to terminate established call and reseize internal dial tone.

TO PROGRAM SPEED CALLING ONE TOUCH BUTTONS

  • Press the Feature button.
  • Press the Speed Call button you wish to store the speed call number.
  • Enter 9 (local number access) then phone number to be stored.
  • Press the Feature button to end.

FEATURE ACCESS CODES FOR SINGLE LINE PHONE

CODE FEATURE
# 2 Call Forward – All Calls
* 2  Cancel Call Forward – All Calls
# 4 Call Forward – No Answer
* 4 Cancel Call Forward – No Answer
* 6 Trunk Queuing (this is used when you reach a busy phone and wish to be called back when the line is free)
# 6 Cancel Trunk Queuing
* 7 Answer call on a phone in your Caller Pickup Group
# 8   Call Forward – Busy
* 8  Cancel Call Forward – Busy
** Last Number Redial
** + Extension number Directed Call Pickup (answer a phone not in your Caller Pickup Group)
