Single Line Telephone Instructions
 

PLACE AN OUTSIDE CALL
Local   
  • Dial 9 (Trunk Access)
  • Dial desired telephone number
Long Distance
  • Dial the long distance number, always beginning with 9 to reach an outside line (example: 9+1+(555) 555-5555)
  • You will hear a stutter tone
  • Enter your 6 digit Personal Identification Code (PIN)
  • Your long distance call will be connected
TRANSFER A CALL
  • With call in progress:
  • Press Flash button or switch hook
  • Dial station number (you may wait to speak to the party you are transferring the call to)
  • Hang up once call is connected
CALLER PICKUP GROUP
  • This is used to answer any ringing phone in your group
  • Lift handset or press Speaker button 
  • Dial *7
  • Connection to call party is established
LAST NUMBER REDIAL
  • Lift handset or press Speaker button
  • Press **
  • Last number called from your phone is automatically redialed
CALL FORWARD – ALL CALLS
  • Lift handset or press Speaker button
  • Press # 2
  • Dial extension to receive forwarded calls

TO CANCEL CALL FORWARD – ALL CALLS

  • Lift handset or press Speaker button
  • Dial * 2
  • CALL FORWARD – NO ANSWER **
  • Lift handset or press Speaker button
  • Dial #4
  • Dial extension to receive forwarded calls
CANCEL CALL FORWARD – NO ANSWER
  •   Lift handset or press Speaker button
  •   Dial *4

CALL FORWARD – BUSY **

  • Lift handset or press Speaker button
  • Dial #8
  • Dial extension to receive forwarded calls

CANCEL CALL FORWARD – BUSY

  • Lift handset or press Speaker button
  • Dial *8
  ** There are some cases when you will want to have #4 and #8 on your line at all times, such as having calls forwarded to a secretary when you are either on your phone or away from your desk for short periods of time.

CONFERENCE CALL

  • With the first call in progress press Flash
  • Dial desired number (extension number, local call or long distance call – remembering to dial 9 to access an outside line)
  • After the call is answered, press Flash again
  • Three-way conference is established

* 6 Trunk Queuing (this is used when you reach a  busy phone and wish to be notified when the phone is free)
# 6 Cancel Trunk Queuing
* 7 Answer call on a phone in your Caller Pickup Group
# 8 Call Forward – Busy
* 8 Cancel Call Forward – Busy
 **  Last Number Redial
** + Extension number Directed Call Pickup (answer a phone not in your Caller Pickup Group)
