Most Editable/Downloadable files
in the "Document Libraries" have an icon associated with
them which tells you what type of file they are. The
generic Icon
indicates that the document is not a Microsoft Product.
For your convenience, the type of file is indicated in the file
name (i.e. PDF is an Adobe Acrobat File, ZIP is a Zipped
File).
To download the Word Editable Document
Templates right click on the link and select "save
target as". Save the file to your local computer
so you can easily find it (your desktop maybe?).
Open the file in Word and choose "Save As..." and
select the "Save as type:" of "Document Template (*.dot)",
and click "Save". This will add the document
to your general templates folder in Word.
You can now create a new document from the template by
selecting "New Document" from the Word pull down menu, you
should see the template in the Window.
NOTE: If you are prompted to save the
file click on "Save" and save the file to your local
computer so you can easily find it (your desktop maybe?).
DO NOT SELECT OPEN!
To download
and use PowerPoint
templates right click on the link and select "save
target as" and save the file to your local computer
so you can easily find it (your desktop maybe?).
Open the file in PPT and choose "Save As..." and
select the "Save as type:" of "PowerPoint Template (*.pot)",
and click "Save". This will add the document
to your general templates folder in PowerPoint.
You can now create a new presentation from the template by
selecting "Presentation Designs" from the
PowerPoint pull down menu, you
should see the template in the Window.
NOTE: If you are prompted to save the
file click on "Save" and save the file to your local computer so you can
easily find it (your desktop maybe?). DO NOT SELECT OPEN!
To save the individual logos or images to your computer right
click on the image you wish to save and choose "Save Picture As" and
save the file to your local computer so you can easily find it (your desktop
maybe?). You can also download the
logo-pack
and get all of the files at once.
To use editable PDF files click on the link to open the
file in the browser and then click on the line where you want to type.
NOTE: Unless you have a full copy of Adobe Acrobat, not just Acrobat Reader,
you cannot save the changes made to these documents. You will need to print a
hard copy for your records.
